Monaco's Production: Finding Inspiration

Hello and let me introduce you to how the story unfolds! Throughout all of these different ideas on what to base my movie intro on, I have finally decided on the plot of the film opening. First I would like to show the inspiration I have drawn out from two movies that represent the aesthetics and concepts I would like to incorporate into my opening.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark was a revolutionary film that inspired many others adventure films. This film was ranked #14 out of sixty of the best adventure films by rotten tomatoes. This list of movies inspired me to develop my very own plot. As The Hollywood Reporter stated,"But it's all done with such a great spirit of high adventure and good humor that you don't even begin to count the corpses..." This statement is essential because it demonstrates the two great qualities needed to make a great adventure film. It combines that sense of great adventure, with the necessary humor needed to lighten up the film. These two qualities should be incorporated into my plot.

Life of Pi (2012)

When I came across Life of Pi, I remembered the first time I watched the film. This film is the essence of a journey with great challenges and finding your place in the world. Life of Pi inspired me by how the story is presented, alluding to a sense of mystery and magic. This touch of magic in the adventure film made me imagine my film having a plot surrounding a surreal topic that can captivate the audience. Overall the film incorporates all the necessary aspects that will captivate my target audience.
